WELCOME TO HEADINGTON BOWLS CLUB

Founded in 1924 the green in Osler Road has been the home of Headington Bowls Club for 97 years. The club is known for its friendly attitude to bowling with a competitive edge.

For the last 12 years Headington Bowls Club has been one of the most successful clubs in the County, winning many County Finals and very successful in the Oxfordshire Bowls League and League Cup, winning on many occasions.

In 2011 season the club won all 4 County Competitions and the Oxfordshire Bowls League Division One.

We have two teams in the men’s Oxfordshire Bowls League which play on a Thursday night through the season.

Saturday and Sunday and a few mid-weekdays are when we play mixed friendly games.

Beginners of all ages are most welcome and coaching support is always at hand to introduce you to the sport. All members are encouraged to play in the clubs games, both men’s and mixed fixtures.

In addition to bowling members a warm welcome is extended to just social members.

The clubhouse has a comfortable lounge bar and there is plenty of seating around the green to have a drink whilst watching the bowling.
